Nature in the North East with Kevin O'Hara

Last updated 6th June 2011 - 14:09

I hope you enjoy my attempts to see nature as it happens and then read about my ramblings in and around the countryside. I am based in that largely forgotten part of the UK, the northeast of England. Don’t ask me why I do it, I don’t know, I don’t wear a cardigan and sandals or have a beard, I don’t hug trees (except when very drunk) and I don’t speak with an Oxford accent. What you see is what you get but I can speak with the authority of many years professional experience.

William Cooksey - My Life in the North East

Last updated 4th May 2011 - 08:38

I am a retired teacher. Prior to moving up to the north-east from Cambridge in 1992 I had walked extensively all over the North of England - Pennine Way, Coast to Coast, Cleveland Way, Cumbrian Way, Dales Way and a not very well-known walk round the North Yorks National Park which is about 250 miles and starts and ends in Skipton. I learned to love the place and was easily persuaded to move up here by my wife who is a Geordie.
