Our new themed readers’ photo challenge seems to have got you thinking. We asked for your pictures on the theme of ‘square’ and you looked at it from every angle.

The examples shown on these pages are just some of the brilliant tree shots which were uploaded to our website last month.

Each month we will give you a theme to be thinking of when you’re out and about with your camera and we’ll select some of the best or most creative images to appear in the following issue.

And do keep uploading your lovely landscapes from County Durham, Tyne and Wear, Northumberland and Cleveland as well – we love to receive them too.
