A ball at the Lumley Castle Hotel in Chester-le-Street raised more than £3700 for the Wearside based charity, Hope4Kidz.
More than 90 people attended the black-tie event, which featured live entertainment from Sunderland Ladies Choir as well as a series of raffles, a tombola and a live auction.
The money went towards Hope4Kidz’s Christmas party for children with special needs.
